The SS Tomobiki was a 22nd century RT-2203 class starship commanded by Captain Peter Lauritson.
In 2119, the Tomobiki was launched from Earth on a mission of deep space exploration in the Ficus sector. (TNG: "Up the Long Ladder")
- The ship name is a reference to the fictional Tomobiki district that is the setting for the Japanese animated series Urusei Yatsura. It is possible that the "RT" in the vessel's registry was chosen after Rumiko Takahashi, the creator of the series.
