Running Press is an independent American trade publishing company and was established in 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a member of the Perseus Books Group which has additional offices in New York City and London, UK.

The company operates four publishing imprints including Running Press, Running Press Kids, Running Press Miniature Editions, and Courage Books.

Star Trek releases Edit

In 2013 and 2014, Running Press released two licensed Star Trek-related "Mega Mini Kits" under its "Miniature Editions" imprint, including Original Series-era phaser and USS Enterprise miniatures. In the case of the Enterprise model, a very small amount of assembly was required. Two more kits were released in 2016.

These pre-painted plastic miniatures include a 2.5 x 3-inch 32- or 48-page miniature reference book written by Chip Carter. LR41 button cell batteries that power the electronic features are included and are replaceable.
