Rudy Solari (21 December 193423 April 1991; age 56) was the actor who played Salish in the Star Trek episode "The Paradise Syndrome".

Among the many other television series Solari has appeared on are Gunsmoke, The Outer Limits, The Big Valley, Mission: Impossible, Police Story, Police Squad and Quincy. He also appeared in an episode of Mrs. Columbo, starring Star Trek: Voyager star Kate Mulgrew in the title role, and was also a regular player on the short-lived sitcom The Wackiest Ship in the Army, along with Bill Zuckert. He also co-starred with Stanley Adams and Dean Stockwell in the TV movie Cop on the Beat in 1975. He acted as Casino in the famous TV series Garrison's Gorillas (1967-1968).

Solari made his film debut with a brief appearance in the 1961 classic Judgment at Nuremberg, which also featured Joseph Bernard and Solari's TOS co-star William Shatner. His last film appearance was a lead role in the 1978 drama The Boss' Son, co-starring James Darren.

Solari died of cancer in 1991 at the age of 56. A popular acting coach and theater director, Solari once had a theater named after him. It has since been renamed.
