Ruby was a waitress at the 602 Club in the mid-22nd century. She worked there in 2143 and 2150. She was friendly to most who entered, mainly United Earth Starfleet officers who visited the establishment, including Jonathan Archer, Charles Tucker III, A.G. Robinson, and Maxwell Forrest. (ENT: "First Flight")

As they were alone and approaching death, Trip Tucker and Malcolm Reed both shared that they had had intimate relations with Ruby. (ENT: "Shuttlepod One")

According to Tucker, Ruby had picked out names for her children at the age of ten, and had promised that she would marry the first man who successfully guessed them. Some of Tucker's incorrect guesses included Cyrus, Chester, and Rosalie. (ENT: "First Flight")

Ruby was played by Brigid Brannagh.
In the final draft script of "First Flight", Ruby was described as "an attractive and charming barmaid". The script specified, too, that she was to have a slightly different hairstyle between the scenes set in 2143 and those in 2150. Ruby was also scripted to comment that Archer's promotion to captain of Enterprise NX-01 may have been due to him having "good looks", though she doesn't say this in the episode.
