Roswell is a city in New Mexico on the North American continent of Earth.
In 1947, three aliens crashed there and were captured and studied by the Army. In fact, the aliens were three Ferengi: Quark, Rom and Nog from Deep Space 9, having accidentally arrived in this time from the year 2372. (DS9: "Little Green Men")
