Template:Realworld Ross Taylor (192417 June 2007) was a member of the sound department at Desilu Studios, where Star Trek: The Next Generation was among the shows on which he worked. Other Desilu programs he worked on included Mission: Impossible, The Untouchables, and Batman, earning an Emmy Award nomination for his work on the latter.

Taylor was a sound effects editor on the classic horror film The Exorcist, for which he received a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Award nomination. He also received an Academy Award nomination as sound effects editor on the 1977 film The Deep. He and his longtime partner and significant other Kitty Malone worked together on The Deep as well as many other films, including Apocalypse Now, Chinatown (featuring Roy Jenson), The Electric Horseman (featuring Nicholas Coster and James B. Sikking), Star Wars, and Urban Cowboy. Taylor's other film credits include Boxcar Bertha (starring Bernie Casey), Convoy (starring Madge Sinclair and Seymour Cassel), Raise the Titanic (featuring Paul Carr, Michael Ensign, Charles Macaulay, Stewart Moss, Michael Pataki, and Mark L. Taylor), and White Fang (starring Seymour Cassel).
