Ronald W. Smith was a hairdresser who worked on the early seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. After his death in 1995, the season four premiere "The Way of the Warrior" was dedicated to his memory.
Smith received Emmy Award nominations for his work on three episodes of DS9: "Move Along Home", "Armageddon Game" and "Improbable Cause".
