Ronald Barry "Ron" Veto (24 October 1933 – 4 August 2004; age 70) was an actor and stuntman who portrayed Harrison in the first season of the the original series. Apart from his role in Star Trek, he played bit parts in a number of films, including King of Kings, starring Jeffrey Hunter, and several Elvis Presley movies. He also performed stunts in numerous films such as Around the World in 80 Days (1956), Von Ryan's Express (1965), In Like Flint (1967) and Che! (1969). He was of Filipino and English descent.

Veto's son is also active in the filmmaking business, mostly behind the camera, as a steadicam operator and cinematographer, on numerous projects.
