Romaine Waite is the actor who played Troy Januzzi in the Star Trek: Discovery first season episodes "The Vulcan Hello" and "Battle at the Binary Stars" and his mirror universe counterpart Troy Januzzi in the episodes "Despite Yourself" and "The Wolf Inside".

Waite's acting career started in the 2000s with appearances in the television mini-series A Man of Principals (2009) and Someone Not There (2014), the television drama series Poser (2011), the short films The Trouble with the Next Day (2011), Pawn Takes Knight (2012), One Night a Stranger (2013), My Favourite Thing (2013), Volition (2013), Rats (2013), and Bubble Gum Scented Urinal Cakes (2014), the horror thriller Antisocial (2013), and the mystery thriller Separation Anxiety (2014).

The following years he had guest roles in episodes of The Strain (2015, with Ron Canada, Roger Cross, Stephen McHattie, Bobby Brown, Justin Howell, Geoff Meech, and Simon Northwood), Rogue (2015, with Brian Markinson, Leslie Hope, Conrad Pla, and Christine Ebadi), Heroes Reborn (2015, with Greg Grunberg, Nazneen Contractor, Carlos LaCamara, Raven Dauda, and Adam Winlove-Smith), Murdoch Mysteries (2016, directed by Leslie Hope), 12 Monkeys (2016, with Todd Stashwick, Scottie Thompson, Jay Karnes, and Christine Ebadi), Beauty and the Beast (2015 and 2016, with Saad Siddiqui and Bart Badzioch), Mayday (2017), Schitt's Creek (2017), and Private Eyes (2017, with William Shatner).

More recently, Waite had a recurring role in the drama series Frankie Drake Mysteries (2017-2018, with Grace Lynn Kung and Thamela Mpumlwana), guest roles in episodes of The Girlfriend Experience (2017, with Izaak Smith) and Taken (2018, with Conrad Pla), and appeared in the drama 52 Words for Love (2018), the crime drama Salvage (2018) on which he also worked as producer, and the drama Usher, the Usher (2018).

On the 2017 short drama 36 Hammond Drive, Waite worked as producer, writer, director, and lead actor. It was also announced in April 2018, that Waite joined the cast of the Netflix holiday film Christmas Calendar. [1]
