Robin Sachs (5 February 19511 February 2013; age 61) is the actor who played General Valen in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "The Void".

He had previously auditioned for the roles of Benjamin Sisko in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and The Doctor in Voyager as well as four or five other guest characters on the latter series. [1]

He is perhaps best known for his role as Ethan Rayne in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (in which he appeared with his fellow Voyager guest stars Armin Shimerman and Harry Groener, although he shared scenes with neither). He also appeared on several episodes of Babylon 5.

His film credits include Jurassic Park: The Lost World (1997), Galaxy Quest (1999), and Ocean's Eleven (2001). He voiced the character Zaeed Massani in the video games Mass Effect 2 (2010) and Mass Effect 3 (2012). He was a BioWare regular, voicing Admiral Saul Karath in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Lord Pyral Harrowmont and Murdock in Dragon Age: Origins, and Seneschal Varel in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.
