Robert S. Pickering is an Aviation Electronics Technician 1st Class from the USS Enterprise CVN-65 who was named "Sailor of the Year" in 2001 along with fellow sailors Sara Elizabeth Pizzo and Timothy J. Whittington. Together they received featured cameo parts as engineers aboard Enterprise NX-01 in the Star Trek: Enterprise first season episode "Desert Crossing". Following their work in front of the camera they presented a plaque to Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.
Pickering's uniform was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction and was also worn by regular background actor Jef Ayres and stuntman Keii Johnston. [1]
