Robbery was a form of crime.

Robbery was commonly associated with financial institutions, such as the Bank of Bolias. It involved the taking of money or property from a structure or organization, usually through the use of force against the affected entity. This was different from simple theft, which did not involve force.

Worf was a victim of robbery in 2372 when he found his property, including his tooth sharpener, on an individual he discovered moving through the access tunnels of Deep Space 9. That person acquired it by breaking into his quarters. This act spurned Worf to begin living on the more secure USS Defiant. (DS9: "Bar Association")

One well-known robbery (according to Quark) in the 24th Century was the Lissepian Mother's Day Heist. (DS9: "Who Mourns for Morn?")
