Robert "Rob" Mars is a stuntman and stunt actor who performed stunts as a burly Starfleet cadet in Star Trek under stunt coordinator Joey Box. [1]

Mars previously worked with Box on the ABC spy series Alias, created and executive produced by Star Trek producer and director J.J. Abrams. Mars also performed stunts on Abrams' hit series Lost, on which he doubled actor Josh Holloway ("Sawyer").

Mars doubled one-time Star Trek: The Next Generation guest star Diedrich Bader on The Drew Carey Show and the 2002 Jeffrey Chernov-produced Disney movie, The Country Bears. He later doubled actor Kirk Ward on the 2005 film The Island which, like Star Trek, was written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

His stunt resume also includes such TV series as The Practice, Angel, 24, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Numb3rs, CSI, and Boston Legal (starring Rene Auberjonois, John Larroquette and William Shatner). His film credits include Hidalgo (featuring Malcolm McDowell), Ocean's Eleven (featuring art direction by Keith Cunningham), xXx and its sequel (xXx: State of the Union) The Ring, Daredevil, The Rundown (starring The Rock), Van Helsing, Spider-Man 2 (starring Kirsten Dunst and Donna Murphy), National Treasure (starring Christopher Plummer) and its sequel (National Treasure: Book of Secrets, featuring Bruce Greenwood), and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies Dead Man's Chest and At World's End (both featuring Lee Arenberg).

More recently, Mars was a stuntman on the upcoming Paramount Pictures release, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He also acted in and performed stunts for the independent feature The Red Canvas, starring John Savage and George Takei. His other upcoming films include The Express (featuring Clancy Brown), Hancock, and Step Brothers.
