Rick Gianasi is an actor who played the holographic gigolo in the Star Trek: Voyager second season episode "Lifesigns". He reprised this role from actor Luigi Amodeo who previously portrayed the gigolo in the first season episode "The Cloud". Gianasi filmed his scenes on Wednesday 3 January 1996 on Paramount Stage 16.

Among his acting resume are the films Bad Girls Dormitory (1986), Robot Holocaust (1986), Riot on 42nd St. (1987, with John Patrick Hayden), Mutant Hunt (1987), The Occultist (1987), Posed for Murder (1989), Escape from Safehaven (1989), the lead role in Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. (1991, with Louis Ortiz), Fatal Frames (1996), and Timequest (2002, with Vince Grant, Larry Drake, and Cynthia Blaise).

Gianasi also appeared in the television series Caroline in the City (1997), Felicity (1998, with Clay Wilcox, John Billingsley, and created by J.J. Abrams), and Troma's Edge TV (2000, with Stephen Blackehart).

He played himself in the segment "Commercial: Dr. Riker's Hair Lotion" in the film Sick-o-pathics (1996).
