Rick Byrum is a location manager who worked on the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episodes "Ensign Ro" and "Silicon Avatar" in 1991. The episodes were filmed on location at Bronson Canyon and Golden Oak Ranch.

Byrum was born in San Gabriel, Southern California, USA. He also worked as location manager on the television thriller Blind Faith (1990, with Jay Underwood, Dakin Matthews, Gordon Clapp, and Jake Dengel) and on the television series Knight Rider and The Secret World of Alex Mack (1995-1996). More recently he scouted locations for the Discovery Channel.

In the early 1980s he worked as missionary in the jungles of Ghana. Byrum is the captain of the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's station's volunteer search and rescue team and the founder of the young people's Clarita Awards for the Santa Clarita Film and Entertainment Bureau. He studied priesthood for several years and was ordained as an Episcopal priest in 2000. [1]
