Richard Tim Vanik (born 1930) is a camera operator who worked on several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Vanik worked as assistant camera operator for over thirty years and among his earliest projects are the crime drama Kitten with a Whip (1964), the western The Wild Bunch (1969), the war drama The Beguiled (1971), the science fiction comedy Young Frankenstein (1974), the crime comedy Special Delivery (1976), the war drama Go Tell the Spartans (1978), and the action film Convoy (1978, with Armando Contreras).

Further credits as camera operator include the comedy Buddy Buddy (1981), the family musical Annie (1982, with Adam Glick), the television series Little House on the Prairie (1982-1983), the romance Micki + Maude (1984, with Armando Contreras), the television series Cagney & Lacey (1985-1986), the comedy Blind Date (1987), the comedy sequel Caddyshack II (1988), the action comedy Tango & Cash (1989, with Adam Glick), the comedy Switch (1991), the action thriller Point of No Return (1993, with Richmond G. Cogswell and Randy Nolen), and the television series Beverly Hills, 90210 (1994).
