Richard Lavin (born 4 January 1945; age 79) is a retired actor who appeared in two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Archive footage of his second appearance was later reused in the final episode of the second season.

Lavin made his television debut in the PBS production of The Killing Floor (1985), co-starring Alfre Woodard. This was followed with an appearance on the short-lived NBC series Rags to Riches (in an episode with Gerrit Graham), the Robert Butler-directed television movie Out of Time (1988, written by Brian Alan Lane and co-starring Barbara J. Tarbuck and Rick Avery), and the 1989 film Limit Up (starring Dean Stockwell and also featuring Sally Kellerman). He was most recently seen in a recurring role on Santa Barbara in 1991.
