Richard II is a play written by William Shakespeare based on the life of the King who ruled England from 1377 to 1399.
In 2293, General Chang referenced the play during the Qo'noS trial of James T. Kirk and Leonard McCoy, asking Kirk "What would your favorite author say, Captain? 'Let us sit upon the ground and tell sad stories of the death of kings.'" (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)
