Alien that was a member of a species that caused a rupture in time. They caused the USS Enterprise-D and a Romulan warbird to freeze in time. The alien would attack La Forge almost killing him. The Alien would explain that a nest of thier young had been mistakenly placed in the engine of the warbird, causing engine failure. When the Enterprise, responding to a distress call, attempted an energy transfer, it caused time to be disrupted. The alien would than disappear. Picard along with Troi, Data and La Forge who were not on the ship during the disruption, were able to reverse the effects and restore the proper time. (TNG: "Timescape")
