Pyris VII was mentioned (as "Pyrix VII") as a small note on a very large star chart graphic created for Conspiracy. It was the image behind the chair in the room where Dexter Remmick was killed. It appears to be located within an outlined block, which may indicate that it was surrounded or was even a part of Federation territory at the time. It appeared to be near Capella.

Pyris VII was the inhabited seventh planet in its star system. Prior to stardate 3018, several mapping expeditions had revealed no indigenous lifeforms on the planet.

The Explored Galaxy

The location of Pyris VII on "The Explored Galaxy" star chart

In 2267, the ornithoid lifeforms, from outside the Milky Way Galaxy, Sylvia and Korob established an outpost there for the purpose of learning about the worlds of the Federation. Sylvia became infatuated with sensation, and dangerously irrational. To stop her, James T. Kirk destroyed the transmuter used by the aliens. Without its power, the two aliens were not able to survive on the surface of Pyris VII and died. (TOS: "Catspaw")

In 2293, the location of Pyris VII in the Milky Way Galaxy was labeled in a star chart that was in Captain James T. Kirk's quarters aboard the USS Enterprise-A. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, okudagram)

In 2328, this planet was home for the Pyris VII Complex. (TNG-R: "Inheritance")

The original appearance of Pyris VII was replaced when the episode "Catspaw" was remastered in 2006. Additionally, a new matte was created to represent the castle located on the planet, using the original shot of the fog-shrouded entryway and building the full castle on top of it.
According to Star Trek Maps (p. 29), Pyris was a blue dwarf star with ten planets.
