A Vhnori attendant

This attendant was present during Ptera's and Hatil Garan's Next Emanation ceremonies. He was working at the cenotaph controls. (VOY: "Emanations")

This Vhnori was played by background actor David Clover who received no credit for his appearance and was identified by the name tag of his costume which was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]
According to the call sheet, Clover was a member of Hatil Garan's family and is listed as "Hatil's Family Mourner". He filmed his scenes on Wednesday 18 January 1995 on Paramount Stage 16 and on 2nd unit on Thursday 2 February 1995 on Paramount Stage 9.

The Vhnori burial site

Eleven male and seven female Vhnori corpses were discovered by Chakotay, B'Elanna Torres, and Harry Kim in an asteroid cave while investigating a ring of asteroids around a class D planet. The Vhnori believe that this was the Next Emanation, which was their culture's concept of Heaven.

All in all, Voyager's sensors detected over two hundred thousand bodies in the ring system.

During their stay in this region several bodies also appeared aboard Voyager including one in a Jefferies tube next to engineering and one in engineering. (VOY: "Emanations")

According to the call sheets several background performers were used to appear as these corpses. The notes state that these "extras are poly-fibered". The "freshly dead alien" found in the cave and the one on the second level in engineering was played by Mary Marshall. The one found in the Jefferies tube by Dan Swett. The cave scene featured three "freshly dead aliens" played by Ermalene, Mary Marshall, and Debbie David, two "moderately dead aliens" played by Audrey Gelfand and Lou Slaughter, and two "advanced dead aliens" played by Dan Swett and Piper Taylor. They filmed their scenes on Thursday 12 January 1995 on Paramount Stage 9 and Friday 13 January 1995 on Paramount Stage 18. On the un-revised call sheets Scott is listed as a freshly dead alien, later replaced by Carl David Burks and Holiday Freeman is listed as an "advanced dead alien", later replaced by Piper Taylor.

This assistant attended the Next Emanation ceremony of Ptera and was standing right next to the cenotaph attendant. He later assisted Doctor Ranora bringing Harry Kim into another room. (VOY: "Emanations")

This Vhnori was played by background actor Lou Slaughter who received no credit for his appearance.
He filmed his scenes on Tuesday 17 January 1995 and Wednesday 18 January 1995 on Paramount Stage 16 and is listed as "Attendant (M)" on the call sheets. He also filmed another scene on 2nd unit on Thursday 2 February 1995 on Paramount Stage 9 where he is listed as "N.D. Alien" on the call sheet.
His costume was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [2]

Hatil's family []

The father and grandfather of Hatil used the same shroud as Hatil wore during his Next Emanation ceremony in 2371. This shroud would pass onto the children of Hatil and his wife Araya. (VOY: "Emanations")

This family was only mentioned in dialogue.

Hatil's friends []

Friends' of Hatil lived in the Cararian Mountains. He believed they might allow him to stay with them were he to escape and avoid the ritual of transference. (VOY: "Emanations")

These friends were only mentioned in dialogue.

Hatil's mourners []

This female and male mourner were present during Hatil Garan's Next Emanation ceremony. (VOY: "Emanations")

The two actors filmed their scenes on Wednesday 18 January 1995 on Paramount Stage 16 and are listed as "Hatil Family Mourners" on the call sheet. According to this call sheet, the attendant listed above was also a member of this family.
The costumes of both background performers were later sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [3] [4]

Ptera's family []

The father and brother to Ptera were males who both preceded her in death. Upon not finding them in the Next Emanation (on USS Voyager), she questioned her faith. She longed to tell her brother about his children. (VOY: "Emanations")

These Vhnori were only mentioned in dialogue.

Ptera's mourners []

These mourners were present during Ptera's Next Emanation ceremony. Among them, where a young female, as well as a young male and elderly female who accompanied each other. (VOY: "Emanations")

These three background performers filmed their scenes on Wednesday 18 January 1995 on Paramount Stage 16. Dan Swett filmed additional scenes on 2nd unit on Thursday 2 February 1995 and is listed as "N.D. Alien" on the call sheet.
