Powerwall, Marcus office

The powerwall in the office of Admiral Marcus

Powerwall, Pike office

The powerwall in the office of Admiral Pike

The powerwall was a wall-mounted high-resolution display that was used by Starfleet in the mid-23rd century for displaying computer-generated graphics and for broadcasting live telecasts of news feeds through UFP News. An example of this display was seen in the office of Admiral Alexander Marcus. Similar displays were also seen in Admiral Christopher Pike's office and Nyota Uhura and Gaila's apartment. (Star Trek; Star Trek Into Darkness)

The name for this technology is from concept art done by Jorge Almeida for the film. [1]
