Pollux V is the fifth planet in the Beta Geminorum system.
Like all other planets in this system, except for Pollux IV, the planet bore no signs of intelligent life, which was considered "strange" when the planet was examined by the USS Enterprise in 2267. (TOS: "Who Mourns for Adonais?")
According to the non-canon CD-ROM game Star Trek: 25th Anniversary, Pollux V was apparently very quickly reinhabited by small, religious mining colony following the Enterprise's dealings with Apollo on Pollux IV. In 2268, the Enterprise was sent to the Pollux system again when the colonists began to encounter "demons". These events led to the Federation's First Contact with the original inhabitants of the planet, a saurian species called the Nauians.
