Plants are a group of grown non-sentient organisms. Plants include trees, flowers, and many others. The edible plants (or parts thereof) include herbs, vegetables, and fruits.
The study of plants is known as botany. On Earth (and most Class-M planets), plants contain chlorophyll, giving their stems and leaves a green color.
