Piri was an Akritirian female.
She and her brother, Vel, were members of a terrorist group called Open Sky that killed 47 people in a terrorist bombing in 2373. Voyager crewmembers Tom Paris and Harry Kim were accused of the crime and sent to a space prison. Captain Janeway captured Piri and her brother, but the authorities would not release Paris and Kim in exchange for the real terrorists. Piri would give Janeway the location of the prison so the two Starfleet officers could be rescued. (VOY: "The Chute")
