A photonic warhead was a type of warhead used by the Vissians.
The Vissians utilized torpedoes armed with photonic warheads and charged with sarium microcells aboard their starships by 2153. Spatial torpedoes used aboard Earth Starfleet starships were "antiquated" by comparison, according to the Vissians. (ENT: "Cogenitor")
In 2376, Tuvok was able to dismantle a photonic warhead in less than thirty seconds. (VOY: "Riddles")
The 24th century photonic warheads were presumably the warheads of the photonic missiles employed in the Delta Flyer.
