Philip "Phil" Jacobson is an electrician within the Camera and electrical departemtn who worked as lamp operator and assistant chief lighting technician on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Enterprise. P. Jacobson, a name seen on set artwork in the episode "Demons", was named after him.

Prior to his work on Star Trek, Jacobson worked as electrician and best boy on the horror thriller Tourist Trap (1979, with camera operator Lowell Peterson), the action film The Great Skycopter Rescue (1980), the thriller Circle of Power (1981), and the thriller Roar (1981). In 2010 he worked as electrician on the talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
