Peter Lai is a stuntman who worked as stunt double for Garrett Wang under stunt coordination of Dennis Madalone on the Star Trek: Voyager third season episode "Scorpion". He filmed his stunt on Monday 10 March 1997 on Paramount Stage 16, had a makeup call at 9:30 am and a set call at 10:30 am. His uniform from this scene was later sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]

Lai previously performed stunts in the drama Come See the Paradise (1990, with Phil Chong, Al Goto, Jeff Imada, and George Wilbur), The Perfect Weapon (1991, stunt coordination by Rick Avery and Glenn R. Wilder), Double Impact (1991, with stunts by James Lew and Simon Rhee), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991, with Cary-Hiroyuki and Rachen Assapiomonwait), Leather Jackets (1992, stunt coordination by Tony Cecere and Al Goto), Rapid Fire (1992, stunt coordination by Jeff Imada), Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993, with Jeff Cadiente and stunt coordination by Steven Lambert and Merritt Yohnka), Village of the Damned (1995, starring Kirstie Alley, Thomas Dekker, and Lindsey Haun), and Escape from L.A. (1996, stunt coordination by Jeff Imada).

In 1996, Lai doubled actor Francois Chau in the video game Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom. Further stuntwork includes Beverly Hills Ninja (1997), Red Corner (1997, coordinated by Buddy Joe Hooker), Windtalkers (2002, coordinated by Al Goto), and State of Play (2009, stunt coordination by Doug Coleman).

On television, Lai performed stunts in episodes of China Beach, Tour of Duty, Deadly Games, Viper, Baywatch, Lois & Clark: The Adventures of Superman, Nash Bridges, Brimstone, JAG, Alias, America's Most Wanted, Charmed, and Standoff.
