The Pernaia system is a star system in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. It is approximately 100 lightyears from the Sol system.
While Pernaia Prime has an unbreathable methane atmosphere, it does have a single frozen moon which can support life. Located on it is a bar where traders and smugglers stop by often.

In 2152, the Vulcan Ministry of Security tracked a Vulcan fugitive, Menos, to the system. Since the original officer that was sent to track him down, T'Pol, was in the vicinity, they sent her after him.
