Pericles shield
Pericles was a Greek statesman living on Earth in the 5th century BC.
After Spock, Doctor McCoy, and Captain Kirk had saved the life of Parmen during an away mission to Platonius, Kirk was awarded a shield originally carried by Pericles by the grateful Platonians. (TOS: "Plato's Stepchildren")
