Paul Tompkins (born 30 July 1953; age 70) is the actor who played Ensign Anthony Brevelle in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "Identity Crisis" in 1991. He filmed his scenes between Wednesday 23 January 1991 and Thursday 24 January 1991 on Paramount Stage 16.

Prior to his work on Star Trek, Tompkins appeared in episodes of The Facts of Life (1984), L.A. Law (1987, with Corbin Bernsen, Gary Armagnac, and Stanley Kamel), Murder, She Wrote (1987, with George Takei, Mark Phelan, and Adrienne Barbeau), Matlock (1987, with Dakin Matthews and Jason Wingreen), Dallas, Days of Our Lives, Starman (1987, with Michael Cavanaugh, Brooke Bundy, and Philip Weyland), and Hunter (1989, with Angela Paton), and in By Dawn's Early Light (1990, with Kieran Mulroney, Nicholas Coster, Ken Jenkins, Randal Patrick, Daniel Benzali, Robert O'Reilly, Ann Gillespie, Glenn Morshower, Jon Steuer, Steve Rankin, Mike Gomez, and Scott Trost).

Beside his work on screen, Tompkins worked in the craft service of Smokey Bites the Dust (1981), as transportation coordinator on The Beastmaster (1982), and as location manager on Zapped! (1982), the drama Rumble Fish (1983), Surviving: A Family in Crisis (1985), and American History X (1998, with Jennifer Lien and Avery Brooks).

Tompkins is the founder of the production company CrazyFish Films for which he worked as producer, director, and writer along with his wife Deborah Tompkins. [1] For this company he worked as producer, director, and writer on the short drama Hollywood Photos of Katie Mills (2006) and as producer and actor on the short drama Richard Wurmbrands: Taps on the Walls (2009). Tompkins also received special thanks for his contribution to the short comedy Do You Want to Go Out? (2010).
