Paramount Stage 25 is a large production studio stage located on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood, California.

The stage is notable for having been the home of the TV sitcoms The Lucy Show, the first few seasons of Here's Lucy, Bosom Buddies, Cheers (from 1982 to 1993), and its spin-off Frasier (from 1993 to 2004). It is considered a "lucky stage" due to the production of several long-running shows. [1]

The teaser trailer for Star Trek was shot in part on Paramount Stage 25. Half of the stage was enveloped in green screen and green floor for the insertion of CGI (namely, the under-construction USS Enterprise). Experienced welders (including actor Anthony Vitale) were employed to portray the on-screen welders; the welding seen in the teaser was real and involved genuine welding tools. Actual steel was used for the welding, and partial columns that were painted the color of the Enterprise were set up around the stage. Some of the teaser was also shot in Paramount's backlot. [2]
