Paramount Stage 14 is located on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood, California.

In 1983, Stage 14 housed some of the Genesis planet exteriors for Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. [1]

In 1986, Stage 14 together with Stage 12 housed the Klingon Bird-of-Prey HMS Bounty bridge and neck interiors for the production of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. [2]

Stage 14 was used in 1996 for the production of Star Trek: First Contact, containing a large section of corridors and the two story main engineering set. Separated only by a large door, Stages 14 and 15 were connected, making them one large production stage. The main engineering set was built in January 1996 and designed by art director Sandy Veneziano, set designer Nancy Mickelberry, and production designer Herman Zimmerman. [3]

Paramount Stages 8 and 15 housed the remainder of sets representing the USS Enterprise-E for Star Trek: First Contact.

In May 2007, The Trek Movie Report website reported that J.J. Abrams' upcoming film, Star Trek, would - in part - be filmed on Paramount's Stage 14.

Set construction reportedly began in July 2007, utilizing other "historic" Star Trek sound stages including Stages 8, 9, 11, 15, and 18. [4] The film wrapped production on 27 March 2008. [5]
