Pallas 14 system was a remote binary system with three planets. The second planet Mantilles was colonized prior to 2269 by the Federation. The outermost planet was Alondra, and the innermost planet was Bezride. The system was located at the outer fringe of the Milky Way Galaxy ( : " TAS ") Pallas 14 was located in the One of Our Planets Is Missing Alpha Quadrant. 2269, Mantilles was the most remote inhabited planet of the Federation. The planet's governor was Robert Wesley, a retired Starfleet commodore. Mantilles had a population of 82 million.
During that year, the system was invaded by a huge
cosmic cloud creature, which began to consume the system. After consuming Alondra, the cloud creature threatened to engulf Mantilles. It was convinced by the crew of the USS to leave the galaxy. ( Enterprise : " TAS ")

"The Explored Galaxy" was a map of charted space in the Alpha Quadrant. Pallas 14 was located between the Tholian Assembly and Romulus. Both locations were identified in : " DS9 ", " The Search, Part II " as being located in this quadrant. The chart, first seen chronologically in Call to Arms , was also seen in several Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes set in the 24th century, from the year 2364 to 2370.
