Oram was a Bajoran vedek and member of a monastery near Kendra Province.
In 2375, Oram invited Captain Benjamin Sisko to visit his monastery. En route, Sisko was so taken with the beauty of Kendra Province that he immediately purchased land there to build his home. (DS9: "Penumbra")
According to line cut from the final airing of the episode, Oram's monastery was located in Adarak.
In the novel Rough Beasts of Empire, Oram's given name is revealed to be "Yentin".
