Ohio was a region located within the interior of the North American continent of Earth. This was a state in the United States of America. The border states were Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. This state was in the Great Lakes region. (DS9: "Little Green Men"; ENT: "Storm Front", "Storm Front, Part II")

Kent State University was located in Ohio as was the city of Cleveland. (VOY: "Deadlock", DS9: "Little Green Men")

The Wright brothers were from Ohio. (ENT: "North Star")

Jack Hayes was a farmer from Ohio, who was abducted from there by the Briori in 1937. (VOY: "The 37's")

In an alternate timeline created by Vosk and the Na'kuhl, the Nazi occupied United States of America had taken a little less than half of Ohio, when campaigns started looking bad. A German Generalmajor warned that they needed to redirect more troops to the battle in Southern Ohio, as well as Virginia. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")

In 2000, Canton was one of three alternate sites for the Millennium Gate The citizens of this city greeted Gate representatives with a small parade. This event was covered by Marci Collins on 3 Action News. (VOY: "11:59")

In 2151, Jonathan Archer told Thy'lek Shran that "a man in Canto, Ohio" had once rolled a ball of string six meters in diameter. (ENT: "The Andorian Incident")

In 2372, when Quark, Rom, and Nog were transported back to 1947, Nog lied about an alien invasion that was going to attack Earth. He pointed to a random spot on a map, and Wainwright responded "They're invading... Cleveland!?", which was a major city in northern Ohio, sitting directly on Lake Erie. (DS9: "Little Green Men")

Chakotay said he had a cousin who lived in Ohio, to whom he wrote a letter in 2374, trying to use the Hirogen communications network to send it. (VOY: "Message in a Bottle")

The adventure film Mister Willis of Ohio took place in this state. (ENT: "Cogenitor")

According to the non-canon video game Star Trek: Starship Creator, Reginald Barclay was from Cleveland, Ohio.

Star Trek: The Next Generation star Gates McFadden is from Cuyahoga Falls in Ohio.

Ohio is named on a map of the United States (Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika). The contours of the state wre seen in the map of the United States in "Little Green Men".
