The North American Water Polo Regionals described a round of competition used to determine progress towards the final game of the North American university water polo tournament.

One of the 2134 matches in the round was known to have involved Jonathan Archer's team – most likely Stanford University – and Princeton University. Archer competed in the event during his senior year. Archer's team was down by two goals with under a minute left, but nevertheless won the game. Archer carried the memory of the event into his career onboard the NX-01, believing that he "could win, no matter how far behind" he was. (ENT: "Vox Sola")

He possessed a tangible memento of the game with him throught his later life, in the form of a rucksack emblazoned with the logo of the 2134 Regionals. (ENT: "Two Days and Two Nights", etc.)
