The Norkan outposts were a series of outposts located near the Federation and the Romulan Star Empire. They were destroyed by Romulan forces, commanded by Admiral Alidar Jarok, in the Norkan Campaign. The Federation decried the attacks as a massacre. (TNG: "The Defector")
It was implied in the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 66) that the Norkan outposts were located in the Norkan (Pi Hydrae) star system. This system was located in the Beta Quadrant and its primary was a K-class star.
