Nijil was a scientist in the Romulan military during the 22nd century.
In November 2154, Nijil worked with Admiral Valdore on Romulus in controlling the Romulan drone-ship. The Star Empire was using the drone to destablize relations between the Andorians, Tellarites, Humans, Rigelians, and other races. Nijil was responsible for the actual operation and control of the ship. He was reluctant to send out the second Romulan drone-ship during the attack on the Enterprise. He was worried about Gareb because he suffered from mental fatigue.
