TNN TNG promo

Promotional still from Next Gen on TNN: A 5-Day Mission marathon special

Next Gen on TNN: A 5-Day Mission was a five-day marathon event broadcast on TNN from 1 October 2001 to 5 October 2001. Intended to promote the network's recent purchase of broadcast rights for Star Trek: The Next Generation, the marathon featured 77 different Next Generation episodes, three Star Trek films, and a new documentary.

Each day's broadcasting lasted from 9:00 am until 3:00 am on the following morning. The first day saw the broadcast of season one episodes (including "Encounter at Farpoint"), Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, and the documentary America Loves... Star Trek. Day two saw seasons two and three, day three, seasons four and five, day four broadcast season six episodes; and the final day saw season seven, including "All Good Things...".

The marathon was "hosted" by Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, and Wil Wheaton, who appear in short bumpers framing each episode's advertising breaks and titles.
