A neuro-synaptic field is an artificial form of energy which lowers the emotional barrier of an individual.
In 2154 Commander Shran captured Soval to interrogate him. Soval was directly beamed into an interrogation chair on board the Kumari where he was tortured. The machine created a neuro-synaptic field which lowered Soval's emotional threshold and made him open for emotional pain. (ENT: "Kir'Shara")
