The Neethian cradlefish was an organism. It was somewhat similar to Earth's terrestrial earthworm, in that any portion of its body which was severed continued to live for a time as an independent organism. (ENT: "Vox Sola")

This cradlefish may possibly come from a planet named Neethia. In the reference book Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 44), Neethia was a planet in the Xi Pegasi star system. This system, located in the Alpha Quadrant, was a binary star system that consisted of a primary yellow dwarf and a secondary red dwarf, and was named as a stop on the Denobulan trade routes in the 22nd century.
