Kira Nerys: Bajoran Colonel in charge of Deep Space 9.
Nog: Ferengi in Starfleet and acting chief of security. Nephew of Quark.
Quark: Ferengi owner of Quark's.
Julian Bashir: Starfleet doctor, and head of the medical division aboard DS9.
Ezri Dax: Joined Trill councilor. Starfleet assigned to DS9. Lover of Bashir.
Miles O'Brien: Past chief of operations aboard DS9. Newly moved to Earth with his family to take a position at Starfleet Academy. Acquitted of the charges of sabotage. After helping stop the N-Vector Viroid, he returned to Earth to be with his family anew.
Mos Senay (β): Romulan scientist. He was caught in the implosion of the N-Vector Viroid and vanished along with it.
Viqtor (β): The humanoid form of the N-Vector Viroid.
