A multispatial probe was a probe which utilized extradimensional technology.
The USS Voyager lost such a probe in a gas giant when a Malon captain, Controller Vrelk, attempted to steal it. This initiated a "space race" to see who could retrieve it first. (VOY: "Extreme Risk")
