Monte Swann is a Supervising Engineer providing 24-Frame video and computer playback for the motion picture and television industry. Monte headed up the team who handled the 24-Frame Video Displays on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country as part of Video Image. He was also the supervising video engineer on 2009's Star Trek.
 
   
Monte Swann worked with Video Image from 1986 until 1996. During his tenure he supervised such films as GARDENS OF STONE for director Francis Ford Coppola starring James Caan, SCROOGED for director Dick Donner starring Bill Murray, Michael J. Pollard, and Alfre Woodard, DIE HARD for director John McTiernan and starring Bruce Wilis THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER again with director John McTiernan featuring Alec Baldwin and Sean Connery), CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER and PATRIOT GAMES (both directed by Phillip Noyce and featuring Harison Ford) SOAPDISH starring Robert Downey jr. His film work with CYGNET VIDEO includes CHARLIES ANGELS, LUCKY NUMBERS, BAD BOYS II, THE CELL, AI: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, MR. & MRS. SMITH, NATIONAL TREASURE(directed by John Turtletaub and featuring Nicholas Cage), DEJA VU(featuring Denzel Washington) and NATIONAL TREASURE II: Book of Secrets (featuring Nicholas Cage). Also for Cygnet Video, Monte was the supervising video engineer on the 2005 action film DOMINO, which featured cinematography by Dan Mindel. Swann would again work with Mindel, as well as J.J.
