Mongolia was a country on Earth that was land locked between the much larger nations of Russia and China.
Once itself part of the Chinese Empire, Mongolia was once the base of Genghis Khan who would conquer much of China and Asia during the early Middle Ages on Earth. Mongolia was also once controlled by China, with the region of Outer Mongolia a district of the Chinese Empire. (citation needed • edit)
