Miriam Flynn (born 18 June 1952; age 71) is the actress who appeared as the Bajoran midwife in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine seventh season episode "Covenant".

She is perhaps best known for her role as Cousin Catherine Johnson in the Vacation film franchise: National Lampoon's Vacation (1983, with Henry Gibson), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989, with Tony Epper, Nicholas Guest, and Natalia Nogulich, and Vegas Vacation (1997, with Larry A. Hankin and Wallace Shawn). She is also known for her recurring role as Sister Helen on the series Grounded for Life, during which she worked with Hamilton Camp, Richard Riehle, and Michael Bailey Smith.

She has also appeared in such films as Class Reunion (1982, with Gerrit Graham), Mr. Mom (1983, with Terri Garr, Christopher Lloyd, Graham Jarvis, Carolyn Seymour, Derek McGrath, Michael Ensign, and Bruce French), Lonely Hearts (1991, with Joanna Cassidy, Herta Ware, Bibi Besch, Ellen Geer, and Charles Napier), Waiting for Guffman (1996, with Paul Dooley), Chump Change (2001, with Leland Crooke, Clancy Brown, Steve Kehela, and John Rosenfeld) and Evolution (2001, with Gregory Itzin, Sarah Silverman, Michael McGrady, and Jennifer Savidge). Flynn's latest film role is the 2011 porn spoof Bucky Larson: Born To Be a Star, with Pasha Lychnikoff.

Her television credits include appearances on Night Court (starring John Larroquette), Cheers, Murder, She Wrote, Murphy Brown, Picket Fences, L.A. Law, The Practice, Ally McBeal, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (with Armin Shimerman), and Once and Again (with Paul Dooley and Susanna Thompson). She also appeared in two episodes of Judging Amy, including one directed by Andrew Robinson and guest-starring Barbara Babcock and another guest-starring John de Lancie.

Flynn's more recent TV appearances include episodes of Las Vegas (starring Nikki Cox), Desperate Housewives (starring Teri Hatcher), and Grey's Anatomy (with Michael McGrady). She also appeared in a 2007 episode of Boston Legal, starring William Shatner and John Larroquette. Flynn's episode, "The Object of My Affection," also guest-starred Gregg Daniel, Pamela Segall, and Matt Williamson. Her most recent TV appearance, as of 2012, was as Helen in the TV series Suburgatory.

However, she is primarily a voiceover artist in animated films and cartoons. Her voice can be heard in such movies as Babe (starring James Cromwell), The Emperor's New Groove, and various Land Before Time direct-to-video movies. She has also lent her voice to such animated shows as DuckTales, The Simpsons, Taz-Mania, Darkwing Duck, The New Batman Superman Adventures, Batman Beyond, ChalkZone, and Seth MacFarlane's Family Guy.
