The minosians is an extinct, once thriving, technologically advanced humanoid civilisation from the planet Minos in the Alpha quadrant.
History
The minosians gained notoriety as arms merchants during the Erselrope wars, providing advanced weaponry such as the Echo Papa 607 wich were sold under the parole "Superiority through superior firepower". The minosians were subsequently eradicated by their own weapon systems when these went out of control. A few minosian artifacts including Echo Papa 607's survived and were responsible for the destruction of the USS Drake in 2364. (TNG: "The Arsenal of Freedom")
