Mimas was an inhabited moon. This was one of the moons of Saturn. The planet was located in the Sol planetary system. This system was located in Sector 001 (or Sol sector), a region of space in the Alpha Quadrant. This was one of two named moons that orbited Saturn; the other was Titan. The moon was affiliated with the United Federation of Planets.
In 2368, the moon was home to an emergency evacuation station for the Academy Flight Range in orbit of Saturn. (TNG: "The First Duty")
