Template:Realworld Mike Timoney is the actor who portrayed an unnamed technician in the 1986 production of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

Timoney, a graduate of Fairfield University in Connecticut, has had several other film and television appearances. In 1984, he appeared The Dollmaker, a made-for-TV film. In 1989, he played Norman Penfold in an episode of A Bit of a Do entitled "The Angling Club Christmas Party." Timoney has appeared in episodes of Great Performances and Ed. Most recently, TImoney played a police officer on an episode the short-lived The Knights of Prosperity entitled "Operation: Deliver the Case" (alongside Kevin Michael Richardson who contributed voices to numerous Star Trek video games).

Besides acting, Timoney has worked as a hockey referee. He is the brother of actor Bill Timoney and the son of game-show host Mary Gardiner. He was married to Simone Grant Timoney for about 12 years, until her death from cancer in 1995.
